Welcome, in the name of Jesus Christ.
We hope the welcome that we speak to you is a welcome that looks and feels like a welcome that comes from God.
Here on the corner of LaSalle and Goethe in Chicago's Gold Coast, it is our hope that whenever you are with us you will feel and know that God has a special place and a special love for you.
That loving welcome comes in a variety of ways, many of which are outlined in the various pages of our website.
Whether at worship, through educational programs, through a gift of service at our Community Meals Program, in fellowship, through a concert or conversation, there is an open invitation for you to participate. Feel welcome to be with us. Your presence here makes our community richer and fuller.
Now, point and click. And enjoy your welcome among us!

THANK YOU TO THRIVENT FINANCIAL FOR LUTHERANS
First Saint Paul's Communicy Meals Minstry is thankful for the $5,000 grant from Thrivent we received in December. This gift permitted us to enter the new year with a balanced budget for this ministry.
Thrivent has also challenged First Saint Paul's Church, its members and friends. If we can raise $10,000 to support this ministry by 31 March 2010, Thrivent will match it with an additional $10,000!
This money will help us to feed our average of 150 hungry guests each Saturday, and to provide the monthly Foot Clinic and the twice-monthly chaplaincy we offer to the homeless and unemployed members of our community.

Planning Ahead
Sunday, 28 February Adult Forum - Pastor Krause will discuss The Prodigal God by Timothy Keller. In this book, Keller uses one of the best-known parables to reveal an unexpected message that will challenge both the devout and skeptics to see Christianity in a whole new way. Books are available at the desk in the Narthex.
