Welcome, in the strong name of
Jesus Christ!

There is an open invitation for you to participate, whether in worship, through educational programs, a gift of service at our Community Meals Program, in fellowship, at a concert or in conversation. We welcome you to be at home among us.

I know that my Redeemer Lives!

The Lord has called home to himself the soul of Pastor Del Pauling.

Join us in celebrating and thanking God for the life of Pastor Pauling at First Saint Paul’s this Sunday, October 14, at 1 p.m.

Pastor Pauling served as First Saint Paul’s senior pastor beginning in 1982 and was instrumental in starting the Community Meals Program. Pastor Pauling retired in June 2005, and was granted emeritus status after serving the congregation for twenty-three years.

Jesus lives. Del lives. Thanks and praise to God for the comfort of His Word and the sure and certain hope of the resurrection.

The First Saint Paul's Family

Meet a few members of our church family as they talk about First Saint Paul's in terms of community, music, the worship space, faith and home. We hope you accept our invitation to find your home at First Saint Paul's.

First Saint Paul's Lutheran Chicago Location

First Saint Paul's is in Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood at 1301 N LaSalle St (entrance on W Goethe St), just north of downtown, yet people from all over the city make it their church home. Free parking is available at the Franklin School, two blocks west of the church on W Goethe St (see map below). The CTA Red Line (Clark/Division) and several bus lines (156 LaSalle, 22 Clark, 36 Broadway) stop just steps from our door.

Parking

Park for free just two blocks west of the church in the Franklin School lot on W Goethe St. The school is just west of N Wells St between W Goethe St and W Evergreen Ave. Download a parking pass here or you can pull into our half circle drive on Goethe while you pick one up just inside the church entrance.
