REMEBERING THE FAITHFULLY DEPARTED
On All Saints' Day, Sunday, November 6, we will agin remember those of our congregation, family, and friends who have died since November 1, 2010. You are invited to write their names in a special book in the Narthex (entryway) table which will the be given to pastor for the prayers.
BEER-MAKING FELLOWSHIP
Jesus' first miracle was to make water into a "Lutheran beverage" without the aid of grain or fruit. On Saturday, November 12 at 1PM, we will transform Lake Michigan water into our own with the aid of grain, hop flowers, and yeast. God encourages us to drink moderately but enjoy our Christian fellowship excessively...all to his glory. Once our batch is ready--sometime around Christmas and New Year's--we will host a party to share the fruits of our labors. Join us!
THANKSGIVING DAY LUNCHEON
All members and friends are invited to a Thanksgiving Day lunch on Thursday, November 24 at noon. Why not attend the Thanksgiving Day service of worship and stay for lunch? The turkey will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring a Thanksgiving-style side dish, dessert or drink. Sign up on the bulletin board in the hall if you plan to attend and indicate what you will bring to share.
WEDNESDAY BIBLE CLASS
Pastor Johnson will be leading our Bible class on Wednesdays. The class is studying the book of John. You are invited to join in and bring a sack lunch. We meet in the Lounge at 12:15PM.

CRUSHED? CRUMPLED? TORN?
If your copy of The Messenger ever does arrive, is this how it looks? Here's a way to stay connected while saving a tree or two in the process.

The church office sends members and guests a link to a PDF version of The Messenger posted on our website. Not only does the website provide more timely communications, but also has advantages for the church as well. We save on printing costs, have fewer newsletters to label and sort, and reduce postage costs.

If you'd like to link up to more efficient communications while helping the church better manage our communication expenses, please send an email to the church office with the subject line "Email me" or call the church office at 312.642.7172, and we'll be sure to add you to our e-Messenger list. Thanks for your help!

SPOKEN EUCHARIST--7AM Wednesdays
Every Wednesday we set aside 30 minutes to move beyond the isolation of our own thoughts, needs and wants to embrace the needs of others and gather at the holy meal.

NEW ADULT FORUM:  JOSEPH
Ever feel like your upbringing was a little dysfunctional or that you were dealt a bad hand in life? Join us on a Biblical journey through broken relationships, betrayal, injustice, and hopelessness but also reconciliation, undeserved kindness, restoration, and transformational faith. The account of Joseph's life is the most featured in the book of Genesis and has a lot to tell us about the journey of faith, navigating difficult relationships, and deepening of our understanding of the character of both people and God. Join us for this multicolored tapestry of love and faithfulness of God in the lives of His people.
