Can You Use Scissors and Tie a Knot?  You're Qualified!

The congregation has been so generous with their plastic bags that we now need help cutting and prepping them.  This work can be done at your home on your time ... even in front of the TV! Contact Pat Baehler for a demo.  Your help is greatly appreciated!

Mission 2008:  Forum Schedule Posted
Consider participating in our Sunday morning forums surrounding the topic of loneliness.  The schedule can now be found on the hallway bulletin board, and appears in the May-June edition of The Messenger. These adult forums will assist us as we prepare our hearts and minds for Mission 2008: day-trips with the lonely. The actual mission trip will take place from Saturday, 9 August through Monday, 18 August and will target the following populations: senior citizens, foster children, Army veterans, people with physical handicaps, the hungry, the homebound in our congregation, and those transitioning from homelessness to assisted living.

A Summer of Translation
Millions of people do not have the privilege of hearing or reading the Bible in their own language simply because no one has translated it. This summer Beau and Lisa Cooper will dedicate two months to working with a translation team in Togo. The Tem translation project is based in Sokode, the second largest city in Togo.  Beau and Lisa have been an energetic,
dedicated, and reliable part of church-life at First Saint Paul's for years helping with youth and toddlers, lectors, and generally whatever is needed. Thanks for making a difference!

Foot Clinic Sock Donations Needed

Your donations of socks have been greatly appreciated this year. Please continue supporting the Foot Clinic with all sizes of white socks so our Community Meal's guests can receive a fresh pair. Packs of socks are being received anytime during the week or on Sunday morning. Thank you!

Interested in Membership?

Growing in Faith Together (GIFT) is your opportunity to learn more about what it means to be a person of faith in our modern world. This class is made up of people seeking a church home, members of First Saint Paul's, and others who are simply interested in refreshing the basics of faith as believed and practiced by Lutheran Christians. The class will begin 6 February following the 7PM Ash Wednesday service and will run for seven consecutive weeks. At the completion of the class, those who have attended are welcome to become members of First Saint Paul's Church on Saturday, 22 March in the Vigil of Easter service.  If you would like to become part of our community of faith and make First Saint Paul's your church home, now is the time to speak to Pastor Barich.

Reserve a Room

As church activities pick up at the beginning of the program year, you are asked to call the church office to place your event on the church calendar.  The staff will make every effort to honor each request for room preference.  However, the office reserves the option to schedule room requests according to the size of the group, not necessarily who calls first.  Flexibility in room location will help to assure a space for everyone's activities.  Thank you for calling in advance to let the church office help make your event a success.

Spoken Eucharist-Wednesdays at 7AM
