CHALLENGE GRANT FOR COMMUNITY MEALS FROM THRIVENT
This is a reminder to all those who wish to have a part in supporting our Community Meals Ministry to the homeless and unemployed of our community. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has graciously offered us a $10,000 Challenge Grant for this ministry that expires 31 March. We are hope that all of our members and friends will help us raise $10,000 by this date to take full advantage of this special opportunity.

FROM THE CALL COMMITTEE
The Call Committee is reveiwing pastoral candidate Information received from Northern Illinois District. After evaluating the information against our Congregational Profile and Desired Pastoral Attributes, and deliberating as a committee, we have made preliminary contact with some candidates for the purpose of determining which candidate pastors are open to a call from First Saint Paul's. The Committee is also writing interview questions, building a structure for the interview process, and preparing documentation to share with selected candidates prior to their interviews. In January, we intend to contact pastoral candidates for first-round phone interviews. We thank you for your prayers as First Saint Pauls' seeks God's will and direction in calling our next Pastor.

Church Offering Envelopes for next year are now available in the narthex.  Please take home your packet today.  If for some reason, you do not find a packet with your name, please let the Church Office know and a set will be issued to you.  Also, members and friends who wish to start using Church Offering Envelopes for the first time, may request the same by speaking to Assistant Financial Secretary Cindy Goers or calling the Church Office (312.642.7172).
