LAWRENCE HALL YOUTH SERVICE BBQ & BALLGAME
On 7 August, FSP will host the young people from Lawrence Hall Youth Services for an afternoon of sports and great food. You may remember that Mission 2008 and Mission 2009 included outreach to the young men and wemen at Lawrence Hall. Many helpers are needed for this project. If you would like to volunteer, please contace George Goodman at grgoodman@foley.com or 312.832.4545. We particularly need help with preparing and serving food and clean-up. Side dishes would be greatly appreciated?
HELP OUR NEIGHBORS!
Have you wanted to be part of a mission team helping people to recover from a disater but couldn't travel to the Gulf Coast? There are 800 families in NW Indiana who still need help because of flooding from the remnants of Hurricane Ike in 2008. Project LARRI (Lakeshore Area Regional Recovery of Indiana) is seeking volunteers to help with the rebuilding efforts. Plan now to join the team the week of 12th to 18th of September. Project will include framing , hanging wallboard, mudding the wallboard, painting, sanding and staining woodwork, etc. Men and women are welcome and needed. What to help?
