Thanksgiving Day Worship

Well over 3 and a half centuries ago, strengthened by faith and bound by a common desire for liberty, a small band of pilgrims sought out a place in the new world where they could worship according to their own beliefs. On this national day of Thanksgiving, we gather together to rejoice, be glad and give thanks for God’s many blessings.

In today’s Divine Worship Service, we join in thanks for the sweet comfort of the Gospel, the forgiveness of our sins by the blood of our Lord Jesus, the promise of our resurrection to eternal life; for the joyful companionship of the Church; for God's Word that is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path; for the gifts of Baptism and Holy Communion; for our pastors and everyone who faithfully serves us; for God's many gifts.
