Chicago Marathon Sunday

First Saint Paul’s is on the 2016 Chicago Marathon route so we are adjusting our worship schedule to accommodate marathon-related traffic congestion, CTA routes and the fact that Pastor Tom Johnson will be one of the 45,000 runners. Beginning at 7 a.m. on Marathon Sunday, First Saint Paul’s members will host an aid station just north of mile marker 4 on the NE corner of LaSalle St. and Goethe St., serving water, juice, coffee and donated baked goods to bystanders.

At 11 a.m., Pastor Jeff Leininger, Campus Pastor at Concordia University, will conduct our worship service.

Like to volunteer?

Bring individually packaged baked goods in sandwich bags to the church by 7 a.m. Marathon Sunday. There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the church near the fellowship hall where you can volunteer to donate baked goods or to serve at the aid station.
