Following the worship service on Sunday, May 21, we invite the students, parents, teachers and volunteers of our Sunday School program to gather in the church Fellowship Hall for our Sunday School year-end celebration. There will be fun activities for all ages including crafts, coloring, and a What's in the Bible video. We plan to collect memories of the Sunday School year, so start thinking about and writing down a few of your favorites to share at the party.
Organizers would like a head count to help them prepare, and they’re looking for volunteers to bring drinks, side dishes, or desserts. Parents, watch your inbox for an email asking you to RSVP to attend and/or bring something to share.
First Saint Paul’s Sunday School gives our youth the tools for critical thinking, faithful reflection, and discovery while tackling questions about the Bible, the Creed, Jesus, general beliefs, and current topics. Lessons are geared towards various age groups: toddlers (0-3yo), Pre-K through K, grade 1-4 with grade 5-6 helpers, and Jr/Sr high school. They feature time for bible study, fun activities, prayer and growing in faith with their peers.
On Sundays this summer beginning June 11th, we welcome all children and young adults in these age groups to join us for Nurturing the Faith Classes, when we explore the Fruits of the Spirit! During the summer months, we meet as Households, meaning groups of believers in all stages of life, pursuing Godly living together.
Then, we kick off a new year of Sunday School with a Rally Day on September 10th. Watch the First Saint Paul’s church bulletin, the bulletin board, this website calendar and our church Facebook page for details. You can call (312-642-7172) or email Marlo Schulz, Director of Family and Outreach ministries, or email Amy Harkness with any questions.
